Ozine Fest 2015

As of late, I've getting back into anime since early this year, it's been around 10 years I think since I actively went out of my way to actually watch them. It's certainly nice to have one of my buddies being really into anime and getting recommends off him. So this makes things a whole lot easier for me. :)

Now, Ozine Fest, this is a first for me actually and thought it would be interesting to see how the fandom has grown. More ramblings, pictures of cosplayers, figures, etc are on the break.

My 2012 Catch up

HAPPY 2013!!

Its been practically half a year since my last blog post. I've been sooo lazy, I didn't even have the time   to post my Christmas Wish List. Anyhow, throughout the last months of the year big happenings uhm... happened. I really have to learn to write better.  Pfft.. just head on to the break for more ramblings.

P.S. Got that coin bank started around October 2011 and got it filled up by end of October 2012. Coin count is 345, all P10 coins.

Toycon 2012 (a somewhat late post)

So, it was Philippine Toycon again. This time around, I was pretty excited. For some odd reason, I knew I'd be getting some good stuff out of the event. Obviously I was looking forward to some nice toys and collectibles but it was sure nice to see my toy collecting friends.

Little Tokyo: Hana

Back at Little Tokyo Hana, wish I was earning more so I can eat more here, but I guess eating here from time to time makes it even more special. Last time I ate here was more than 6 months ago, i think. Anyhow, the thing that really pulled me back here was the menu. This time I around I was prepared to sit down and enjoy some good authentic Japanese food. :)

SCI-FI Revoltech Series No.020 Skeleton Army

Finally got my that Skeleton Army from Greattoysonline, had the thing last Sunday but didn't have the time to take pictures of it. I always had difficulty with the lighting in my room so I had to take photos in the evening. Anyways, the photos and my review is available after the break.

Damn it, I must get one of these buggers. Sadly the figure is a bit scarce to fin here. I'm sort of reviving my toy collection. Well, not really a collection but more of the things that I really really want.  In a bit, I'll contact a shop and ask if they can buy this for me.

Mario Mario Mario... Luigi!

 

When I learned 100 lives trick, it was pure awesome. And also, I hate you Hammer Bros.

My most fave video game characters, Mario and Luigi. I actually like Luigi better coz of the green overalls. Anyhow, so I've been building up my Mario collection and got these bit art displays. Don't know what they are really called or who made them; wish I can track more of them down if ever. 

 

Anyhow, this end of the year Nintendo released two major Mario games. Super Mario 3D land and Mario Kart 7, both games are a joy to play. Super Mario 3D Land, awesome game and should have been the launch title with the 3DS unit. Solid game but wish the game was longer or a bit harder.  As for Mario Kart 7, I'm not a guy for cars but I always enjoyed playing Mario Kart. Fun game, lots of replay value and there is of course the WiFi matches and community where it would definitely extend the game's replay value. :)

Blue Coral Batangas

Again been postponing this post for a quite a while, not that I owe this to anyone but myself. Well, here it is our company summer outing to Blue Coral Batangas. Normally I wouldn't post anything related to work here but I did have fun and I had some decent shots of the place.

On a long over due whim (if that made any sense) I finally bought a small poseable school girl figure. I always wanted to have a small muse/model to toy with while going through the interwebs and studying.

Castlevania Figures

As most of my friends know, I'm a big Castlevania fan and the first time I saw the toy online I knew I wanted one. A week or two earlier, I saw the whole set somewhere in Makati. I was a bit disappointed with the figures up front; something about the details and the colors. The price didn't help as well.

In any case, if ever I'd buy a figure or two. I'd get Simon and the Succubus.

Heel Skates

Around mid-week I saw this guy walking and skating to work. He had this attachable skate heels on his sneakers. I'd love to buy a pair of those myself as well. Alas, I am required to dress up formal to work, polo, slacks and black shoes. Hmm.. yet, it would be certainly interesting if I did buy a pair and wore them to work.

Pocket Speakers!!!

Last Friday, on an impulse, I went ahead a bought a small speaker for my Mp3 player. I always wanted to play the music with having a headset on all the time. So i got this, the iTour-10 Capsule Speakers. I'm so glad I got the damn thing, its soo small and the audio output is excellent. I'm even plugging it up with Eris and I'm having a blast with the games.

It even has three extra connectors for different mobile phones; too bad the Sony Ericsson one was not compatible with mine. And another thing, the cord is too short, crud... So I'm up for hunting down some extension cords for the dang thing.

Gashapon

Its been several weeks since I've been trying to remember those Japan toys from the slot machine contraption. Haha. Geez, funny thing I just remembered it eventually and its Gashapon.


Since I was out yesterday and had to buy some stuff in Makati, so I decided to take a chance on a Gashapon machine there. I went for the Lucky Star set, all of them was quite cute. I chucked out P150 and got Miyuki. She's cute enough and I'm happy with what I got. :D

Well, as before work sucks but at least the pay is decent and I got weekends off. So to keep my sanity in check and my English fresh (for obvious reasons) I have something lined up for almost everyday of the week. Its always nice to put something of a treat every now and then while you go through life.

Note: I'm still looking for good audio podcasts from different parts of the world. I want to study their accents, something for me to mimic. The good about audio podcasts, I can just load em up on my MP3 player and play them while on my way to work. :D

Pixels to Plastic

Another geek treasure that I'd love to have. Stage figures, they vary from Mario to Namco variety. Ah yes, the lovely junk you can only get in Japan. Sigh.

Oh yeah, the vid clip is a feature from Retroware TV. Its called Pixels to Plastic, here the host reviews toys that were based on video games; thus the name of the show. Well, more stuff for me to waste my time on. Good times, :D.

Hmm, Flickr is all good and all but they have 200 photo cap that irks me... anyone there who know of a really unlimited online photo storage? Where one just dump misc photos for blogging purposes. Waaahh...

Saving up, taking pictures,

Been a while since I blogged. I've been working my butt off and saving up for a camera. *phew*

I know my friend Saber_Kat been telling me that a good photo is not based on what camera you have but with how you use it. I still have good ol Sony DSC-P73; got to play around with the settings and got some good online tutorials and resources. Hoping I get better at this.

Oh yeah, got some uhm, somewhat decent pictures. Haha. As far as I can tell.
