Drawing from the beginnings?

So, I'm trying to get back into drawing again as one of the skills I want to grow for this year at the least. My old Wacom Graphire isn't playing nice with the Windows 7 and up, so I decided to get an Intuos Art. So far, pretty satisfied with it. 😏

Rokko-Chan

I wonder if she has brother named Roll?
Inspired by one of the longest running game franchises, here is Rokko-chan. It's basically a Rockman or Megaman clone for the US market. I prefer to use Rockman as this was what I grew up with, us having family computers here in Asia.
Lookit those intense cute eyes... of death!
Anyways, everything is pretty much here. It has 8-bit tunes, 8-bit graphics, cute to bizarrely named robot masters, pellet shooters, mad scientist/doctor and yes, platforming goodness. All this is running on your internet browser, as long as you have flash enabled you are good to go. The controls are pretty tight and the keys can be re-mapped. I yet have to try a gamepad, it's on the FAQ but in Japanese.

So here are the links

The beard will devour you!!!

Can you defeat the beard!? Check out this excellently made game called Castle Crashing the Beard by Boom Toons.

I've been visiting and admiring the work they have on Newgrounds for several years now. Wow, didn't think it has been that long. They have variety of Flash based movies and games. They are mostly made up misc net citizens and is free for anyone to submit to. Now they have a gaggle of great animators and programmers there, but one of them is hitting it big.

Dan Paladin has this definite style that is soo simple but very appealing. Hmm, simply put its just violent lil toons thats makes you either go "awww" or "wow" (sadistically). Also, Tom Fulp (Founder of Newgrounds) had a key role with the programming for the games as far i know. All in all, its just all awesome.

Dan has several projects that flew off as exceptional video games (Alien Hominid) and now he is coming up with Castle Crashers. Damn, i wish this game would be released for the PC as well.

Oh yeah, here are some links and his great works:
