Baldur's Gate Countdown

Countdown finished...

Earlier this week, there was a peculiar countdown on the Baldur's Gate website. Picked up the info from my RSS feeds, and this did get me excited. I love the Baldur's Gate series for the PC, best RPG series I ever played. Yet, I haven't finished them all. I have this nasty habit of restarting games if I left them idle for a long time.

My new laptop: Alecta

I can't believe I was able to afford buying a laptop and well, here it is. She is around a month old. Named her Alecta, coming from Greek Mythology's Alecto (suggested by Kat).

Finally all set up in my room.

So far I'm pleased with the performance and all. My only wish was the keyboard had some sort of black light to it and bluetooth for my phone. Well, both things I could do without but it would be definitely nice to have. :)

Burn out

This is what greeted me when I finally got Lilith's power supply out. Geez, as seen the connectors are melted and left some of its parts in the motherboards power socket. All in all, this semi-melted power supply is the only thing I can use in Lilith. Sigh, hope I can still make her work.

Back from the dead, again...

Lilith is back up I can only assume this is a temporary thing but I am hopeful that she holds on till I get new parts for her. Probably it would be the works, new motherboard, video card and sound card.

Thinking back, currently this is her second incarnation/upgrade. So that would be like Lilith 2.XX; just for fun I'd be using "xx" for the number of times I had to reformat her. Haha. Geez.

Back to the world of the net. Catching up and all. Hehe.

Down again

Once again my Lilith is acting up. It could be my WinXP is screwed up or my brother's vid card is. Gack, sigh. Well, at least I got my phone to access the net with but of course with very limited functionality.

My Lilith is currently on her weekly virus scan, good thing there are some decent shows on Cartoon Network to entertain me for the meanwhile.

Lilith back from the dead

Finally got her up and running. Shes practically a Frankenstein monster due to the all the parts I had to mix up and use to get her running. Currently she is on my brother's video card (64mb Inno3D, so no hard core gaming for me) and on an old 12Gig hard drive. I'm not really sure if its a problem with my video card or the motherboard itself. Oh well, at least its holding up.

Now I really need to buy a new PC/Laptop.

Lilith is dying...

Ugh, lately I've been plagued by issues upon issues with my PC (Lilith). The video card is whacked, occasional Blue Screen of Death and Boot Disk Errors. I think I got her around 3 - 4 years ago, but with a couple upgrades in between those years.

Currently, I'm running on default video drivers from the motherboard. So the screen is a bit stretched out but quite bearable. Sigh... BEST YEAR EVER!! (yes, I'm sarcastic).

Lilith is getting sexier

My PC, Lilith is getting sexier. Just got her a new 19inch LCD screen. Wonder when i'd be able to really upgrade or practically change her insides (CPU, Mobo, Vidcard, etc). Yep sounds pervy, haha.
