Right then, last quarter of the year now. I'll try to have this on a monthly basis coz i noticed I've been trying to just cram stuff here in one post. Hmm, but this may cause shorter posts. Oh well, lets see how this goes.

Long time, no post.. a severely long time. Kinda been thinking of doing either a monthly post... most probably i'd bum out and do quarterly one instead.

Anyways, I'll try cram down some general goings-on to catch up on this.

Game Boy Micro

I finally gave in, I got a Game Boy Micro for a pretty nice deal, brand new of course. Ideally, I wanted the 20th Anniversary Edition, but since the whole Game Boy Micro line has been discontinued I just settled with this. I've been mulling about with the purchase but since I've had good experiences with the Nintendo and its products, I went ahead.  :)

Real Keypads!! I missed you!

Woot! Sony Ericsson Xperia Pro! REAL KEYPADS!!! Ever since I got my first Android phone, the HTC Wildfire, I never got used to tapping on glass to send messages, call someone, etc. Most of the time I was typing gibberish and pressing backspace. Also, as I was making this entry I just realized that I never made an entry for the Wildfire. Hmm.. maybe I didn't really care for the unit. Anyways, sold it to my friend for a good price. :)

Nintendo 3DS!!!

Yep, that's right I gave in. I bought a Nintendo 3DS earlier than planned, last weekend to be exact. I was planning to buy this around late May due to the Nintendo eShop not being fully released yet. Anyways, I'm pretty happy with the purchase.

New toy: Sansa Clip+

Wow, been a while since I blogged. Haha. Well, I bought something that I really want to log down. Got me a new Mp3 player. After much prodding by Rain, I gave in and bought the Sansa Clip+ (8gigs Black).


Quick specs rundown: 8gigs, expandable SD card slot, FM radio, voice recorder, plays all the mainstream music format & 15hr battery life.

Well, here they are side by side; see how small it is. The Samsung Mp3 1gig player is still working fine. It served me very well, don't want to really abandon it just like this but I'll use it from time to time i guess.


Almost finished loading songs, just got up to half of the space. I still have the Japanese Audio books for my edumikashun :P

My new laptop: Alecta

I can't believe I was able to afford buying a laptop and well, here it is. She is around a month old. Named her Alecta, coming from Greek Mythology's Alecto (suggested by Kat).

Finally all set up in my room.

So far I'm pleased with the performance and all. My only wish was the keyboard had some sort of black light to it and bluetooth for my phone. Well, both things I could do without but it would be definitely nice to have. :)

Mobile Envy

A couple weeks back I started using my trusty old SE P990i to a fuller extent. I've been loading it up with MP3s and even converted some vids off the net for it to play with. Overall I was happy.

Then my office mate came along with his brand spanking new Nokia 5800. Just a break down, it has 80mb internal memory, memory card support, Bluetooth, WLAN, Symbian OS and touch screen. (More features here.) From what I saw so far, I want one! Hehe.


I've been kind of holding back going back to Nokia due to the lack of stylus/touchscreen products. I generally like Nokia phones due to its user friendliness but annoying how they come up with the occasional screw overs on physical designs, take Nokia 3650 as an example.

Well, with all that I still have some other priorities over a new phone but this seems to be good replacement for my old phone.

Heel Skates

Around mid-week I saw this guy walking and skating to work. He had this attachable skate heels on his sneakers. I'd love to buy a pair of those myself as well. Alas, I am required to dress up formal to work, polo, slacks and black shoes. Hmm.. yet, it would be certainly interesting if I did buy a pair and wore them to work.

Pocket Speakers!!!

Last Friday, on an impulse, I went ahead a bought a small speaker for my Mp3 player. I always wanted to play the music with having a headset on all the time. So i got this, the iTour-10 Capsule Speakers. I'm so glad I got the damn thing, its soo small and the audio output is excellent. I'm even plugging it up with Eris and I'm having a blast with the games.

It even has three extra connectors for different mobile phones; too bad the Sony Ericsson one was not compatible with mine. And another thing, the cord is too short, crud... So I'm up for hunting down some extension cords for the dang thing.

Welcome NDS, Eris!!!

Yay, weekend!!! Finally sometime to really put my new Nintendo DS (lite) to her rounds see if everything is right and is in tip top condition. I got her last Monday, I had to borrow some money from my bro for it though. As for my PSP Lilith, I had her sent to my bro in Singapore since I'd playing my thumbs off with Eris.

Now the name, I went around for a bit for a good name for my NDS. Originally it was Discord or DS-cord, due to it being a DS unit. (yes, i'm soo smarter'er); but Kat suggested the name Eris the goddess of Discord. I liked it cuz it was easy on the ears and unique. Haha. Thanks Kat. :D

I already got her some screen protectors and hard/crystal case. See!!!


After putting it on, she looks like more a video game console now. It certainly took down the sexy points (originally looking like a make up kit), but I'm happy with it. :D

I'm currently testing her Wifi play and some other homebrew stuff. Yay!

Oh yeah, i soo love video games, specially Nintendo. It just reeks of nostalgia and keeps the demons out of my head. I love you Nintendo!! :D

AOTS & Iphone 3G

I just love Attack Of The Show on our local cable company. Well, its just a fun watch, lots of silliness and geeky shit all around.


A couple days ago, they just got the new "Jesus phone" the Iphone 3G and had a first unboxing session in the show. As soon as they got the unit out, Olivia Munn went through the usual affectionate licking and nibbling of any favored gadget. I love the expression on her face while she was munching on the poor phone. Well all in good fun. Haha.

Unfortunately I dozed off halfway the show and also for whatever reason I can't seem to stream the video through their site. Sigh...

Wifi @ home!

This my first mobile blog via my SE p990i. Hehe. It's kinda funny having WIFI at home. It's all thanks to our old (borrowed, not sure if we have to pay for it now) router diying out on us. Now i can be taking dump while surfing. Whee!

Wifi envy

I stumbled back on the Pinoypsp forums earlier and got to go on a thread about CDR King's Wifi adapter. As most of us know they sell relatively cheap stuff. The Pinoypsp peeps confirmed that it works well with Emily, but im concerned if its just a another one of my would be useless stuff stashed at home. Also, don't think I have much gadgets that would need the wifi. I bet the thing wifi transmission wouldnt cover the whole house. Hmm... Oh yeah, the one week warranty stinks. A major damper on thoughts of buying anything more than P500 worth. And yep, im still mulling it over...

PSP 2000 (aka PSP Slim)

Well, i am a proud owner of a PSP unit, the older version that is. Usually when an upgrade of one of my worldly possessions comes out, i get all annoyed. I go want one!! Well, as for PSP Slim, not much bothered. :)

Here is a breakdown of the important features:

- 33% lighter
- cosmetically slimmer and sleeker design
- slight upgrade on the controls and button placement
- USB charging option
- Video output capability
- double the internal ram for faster loading
