Ozine Fest 2015

As of late, I've getting back into anime since early this year, it's been around 10 years I think since I actively went out of my way to actually watch them. It's certainly nice to have one of my buddies being really into anime and getting recommends off him. So this makes things a whole lot easier for me. :)

Now, Ozine Fest, this is a first for me actually and thought it would be interesting to see how the fandom has grown. More ramblings, pictures of cosplayers, figures, etc are on the break.

TV5's Tanods

Finally, got around to write about this. What we have here is a locally made comedy web show, each episode running at around 10 minutes.

So the quick of it is, we follow a 20 something kid dreaming to be a police officer but as a way to build up experience, he joined the Tanods of Barangay San Laan. As straight forward that may sound, we do have a nice mix of amusing characters. We have the aforementioned new kid, the laid back Barangay Captain, a female Korean secretary that speaks solely in Korean, a British fellow talking in Tagalog, and more.

Komikon 2015

Insert obvious caption here
For the past years, I've been skipping out on Komikon because I barely pickup anything there. My going to this one was more a rushed thing but it turned out quite well.

On a side note, I'll try to increase my blogs entries here. I already have a list of topics to write about. Now more ramblings on the break. Yey!

ESGS 2015

E-Sports and Gaming Summit 2015 at SMX
So, this is the first time for me to go ESGS or anything gaming centered. The entrance fee for what was there was kinda a bit steep but anyways still had a good time thanks to my buddies.

This entry would mostly consist of pics, so nothing really to read here. As if really writing anything. Haha. Oh, I did take a bit of pictures of cosplayers.. so that's a thing. Enjoy?

Dayo and Urduja

Dayo - Trailer

(Dayo -noun, verb) Meaning foreigner or visitor from another place.

I was never into the local movies and more so with our local animated films. More often than naught, they look like a rush job or feels like a rip off from another cartoon movie. The latest offering from our film industry was Urduja.

I haven't really seen it nor have I any urge to do so, but as far as I can see its just Pocahontas and the crew talking in Tagalog. Wish they had the balls to steer off and try a different art style that can be identified to be Pinoy made. A great example would be Pugad Baboy.

Now going back to Dayo; now this one looks different and looks to be promising. It has a distinct art style that seems to more original. With this one, I'm looking forward to watching it. I want to see how our Philippine folklore would fare in the animated scene.

The Nut Shack

I only got word of this via a cable, it was advertised to feature Rex Navarrete doing the voices of some the characters. It seemed to have sparked my interest enough to look around the net.

The cartoon is mostly populated by pinoy, mexicans and other asian characters but in a hip-hop culture in San Francisco. I'm not really into the Hip-hop, gangsta, hood culture but i did enjoy the pinoy humor.

Also, interesting that its not shown here in Myx locally; Oh wait, they have different version of Myx in the US. Greeaat. Well still, go Philippines! Haha. :)

Happy Slip in the Philippines

I can't remember how i stumbled upon this great Pinay of the net. She is absolutely a joy to watch. Just got off from the boob-tube after seeing her featured in the local news at Ch 2. She is here in the Philippines and has been awarded as our Philippine Ambassador, how cool is that. Check her out, click here.

Lastikman

Lastikman, my best friend is the one of the Production Assistant or was it something more... haha. I tend to forget stuff. Oh well.

Viewing the thing, it looks like a lot of time has been thrown into the project. Kinda elvish meets sci-fi thing. I want to see more of Lastikman's costume, the mask looks good so far. :)
